I’ve recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer. It appears to have been caught early thanks to Dr Baverstock’s fast action in referring me via fast track. The discussion I had in relation to my general health and her swift action to get blood and urine tests booked was key. I had a UTI and my cancer might have gone undetected if the symptoms were merely put down to the infection rather than taking additional steps to check for cancer ‘just in case’.
