From beginning to end my care was second to none. I was completely off the idea of a spinal block, but had one under Liz’s recommendation for recovery.
So glad I listened to her! What a great experience, I would highly recommend the block. It’s now 8 hours later and still no pain.
Talked me through everything that was being done and I actually didn’t feel a thing , I think it’s just the anticipation of the unknown.
Before I knew it I was in recovery.
So thank you to all the team, because everyone was so friendly and helpful.

We often recommend combining spinal anaesthetics with a general anaesthetic to improve pain control after a number of surgeries, and I'm glad the pre op visit gave you the information you needed to be able to access that option for your care. It's really common for people to be wary of spinal anaesthesia, but often with discussion and explanation we can clear up any concerns.
