I found Dr Liz Kingston very helpful and informative regarding what would take place as a patient. She phoned the evening before the surgery to let me know what she would be doing and asking relevant information about me. On the morning of the surgery she came to see me and because the surgeon said he may change procedure she immediately explained she would also change the type of anaesthesia she would use. She, and her colleague were very friendly and made me feel extremely at ease before my surgery. Thank you

Thank you for your lovely feedback. I'm glad to hear that the pre op call was helpful, and I think it's important to have time to consider the information given so you can feel more confident going into theatre. As we discussed we always have to make any plan together as a team of patient, surgeon and anaesthetist, and be prepared to respond to any new information as needed- I think our final plan worked really well as a result. I'm happy you felt at ease and will pass on your kind comments to the rest of the team who will be pleased to hear that. Wishing you well for your post op recovery.
