Recently I was admitted to St. Richards Hospital as an emergency. My medical history is complicated. I was born with complex congenital heart disease which is a sub-speciality of cardiology. Over the years I’ve seen many doctors for my heart, some with good listening skills and some not so good. The minute I met Dr. Longman on the ward I felt at ease. Dr. Longman actually listens to the patient and has compassion. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable about my condition and very thorough. Throughout my stay in hospital Dr. Longman kept a close eye on me and liaised closely with another specialist cardiac hospital. I can’t praise Dr. Longman and her team enough for taking great care of me during what was a frightening time for me.
