I went to see Dr Julie Sharman when she worked at Hoxton Surgery. I went to her because I had a terrible fall a few weeks earlier and even 10 weeks after that had pain in my wrist. I asked her to refer me to a specialist. She laughed first into my face and denied it could be something serious but then agreed to refer me to a physiotherapist at Homerton hospital who found that I had a broken scaphoid. The physiotherapist recommended that I go back to my GP and get a referral for a surgery. I went to see Dr Sharman again to get a referral for a surgery and she gave me a new referral, which I found out later was to exactly same physiotherapist! Ridiculous! Even the physiotherapist was shocked and eventually arranged everything himself. But 6-7 weeks were effectively wasted which created complications in my wrist recovery.
