I had a stroke at 48 and was initially sent to my local NHS hospital. I became under the care of Dr Kwan when I was discharged to rehab 7 weeks later. From my initial meeting with him he made me feel at ease and gave me the confidence to crack on with my rehab. I had to do things in rehab I didn't think would ever be possible again, but with the assistance from Dr Kwan and his professional guidance, I was able to conquer my fears and do things I really did not expect to do again. He has been my stroke consultant for nearly two years and I regard him as my friend. During my turbulent rehabilitation he ha been there every step of the way.
