I had cancer before I'd hit 30, followed by 8 years of various illnesses.. During this period my son had Guillain Barre Syndrome and subsequent medical intervention. Between us our medical files stack pretty high... One thing I have learnt with all this experience with doctors, is that an exceptional doctor is a rare thing. Dr Zeilinger is, without doubt, an exceptional doctor. He really listens, and genuinely seems to want to do the very best for his patients. On my first visit, and my son's first visit to him, both times he had looked at our medical history before we had even walked in the room. I'm so used to going through the same stories every time I see a new doctor, it blew me away that he had actually taken the time to look. It highlights how dedicated he is to understanding his patients so he can give them the best care possible. I tend to drift between doctors, taking an appointment with whoever is available soonest, unless I discover the very rare "exceptional" doctor!! Since my first appointment with Dr Zeilinger I have always requested to see him, and will work my life around an available time slot rather than see a different doctor. Even my son, who is understandably wary of doctors, feels comfortable with him and requests to see the nice doctor! We are so fortunate to have him at Primrose Hill Surgery, even if it is only one day a week.
