Since my former GP has left Woodlands I have been fortunate to see Dr. Jonathan Slade during the past few months. In the short time I have known Dr. Slade I can honestly say that his clinical excellence is outstanding. As a controlled diabetic, during my last visit Dr. Slade identified my HCB1a as being too high and he spent time comparing my blood results with previous years. I was quite shocked to see how high my levels were and as a result of that consultation I have now committed myself to a cardiovascular fitness programme and completely changed my diet (albeit I have always tried to maintain a healthy balance), I hope that in 12 weeks time I will be able to repeat those bloods and prove that you can take control if you are determined to maintain a healthy life style. I literally was shocked into taking this into my own hands - had Dr. Slade not identified the statistics I would not have known my problem was serious.
