Dr John Tappin treated me for recurant Hodgkins Lymphoma in 1981. Having initially been diagnosed in 1970 ( I was then 13yrs old), the disease was considered almost incurable and in 1973 it recurred and was treated at Clatterbridge Hospital with the then new 'Chemotherapy' treatment. However in 1981 it recurred again and this time I was referred to Dr Tappin at Whiston Hospital . Dr Tappin treated an aggressive return of the disease with resounding success and I will be eternally grateful for his determination to cure what had eluded previous attempts . I consider Dr Tappin to be a fine Doctor who works tirelessly and passionately for his patients . A man who I can and still do turn to for any serious medical advise , who each and every time I have asked it of him, has immediately afforded me a piece of his valuable time in speaking to me and on recent occasions 'Fast-tracked' me through the red tape when I have needed medical guidance. A thoroughly competent Haematologist and dedicated example of his profession , who I could not recommend more highly. David Davies
