Written by a patient at Edinburgh Homeless Practice

He works at the access practice in Edinburgh, and seems to have a personal quest against opioid medicine, he will pull you off these opioids and stick you on far worse drugs like duloxetine, he will put you on mind benders and according to him "Its all in the mind" - even though opioids have been working for me for 7 years with no problems he will still try to fix what is not broken and start messing about with doses and meds. He has a short fuse, seems to get annoyed quite fast, i was waiting for him to actually try to hit me so i could hammer him, and tell him to use duloxetine for the pain he feels rather than morphine, see how he likes it. Doctors like him are people we can do without, the thought of me crawling round streets in pain are enough to make me stop seeing him immediately, and carry on with my pain killers. He gets paid whather he helps you or not, that is a scary thought.
