Dr Bernard certainly appear to know his stuff, listens to his patient, and analyses the problem before offering a diagnosis and treatment. These are skills that many GPs lack. He is empathetic and very sensitive to his patients needs so, for example, he is charming, sympathetic and supportive towards my partner -knowing she can be somewhat stubborn if not properly handled, and businesslike, frank and sometimes strict with me as he knows I like to get to the point without fuss but have a tendency to be a little casual in complying with a treatment if given half a chance. He was trained in France and I only hope the present mess in the NHS won't frustrate him enough to give up on us or it!
