My experience with Dr Mukherjee is with concern over my mum's symptoms. She was initially referred to Dr Mukherjee via a gastroenterologist within the Trust. The gastro/surgical problems had to be put on hold until the respiratory side of her health were dealt with. We met with Dr Mukherjee following a CT scan via gastroenterologist's request and two nodules were found in one of mum's lungs. I think without any hesitation he kept a thorough check on her via CT scans and a couple of PET scans over the last 18 months to 2 years. In fact he was going to discharge her after seeing her in January 2017 but for total completeness he organised a repeat CT scan followed by a repeat PET scan and the findings on the latter had shown that one of the lesions had grown albeit a slow growing lesion (this lesion was not the one of concern in the first instance, so just shows you how things can change). He then referred mum on to a Thoracic Surgeon at UHCW. We have seen this consultant this last week, mum had a pre-op on the same day and a letter is now in the post to her for her appointment date. I cannot fault the speed in which actions are now being taken for mum's health. I cannot thank Dr Mukherjee enough, he is a quietly spoken, gentleman who I truly believes has the patient's best interests at heart All the investigations were done for completeness (obviously his instincts kicked in with the years he has worked in this area of health) and that is all one can ask of him. Just a personal request too, please don't retire Dr Mukherjee the patients of Warwickshire who have respiratory problems need your listening ear, prompt attention and kindness.
