Whilst under the care of a different GP I had cause to call upon the services of the out of hours medical service. Dr Oliver was the GP on call that night. He'd never seen me before, I'd seen him around the town, knew who he was etc. I was under a lot of pressure/stress and desperately needed some help. He sat me down, listened, NEVER lost eye contact with me, let me ramble, didn't butt in, didn't have a pen in his hand hovering over a prescription pad and when I finished speaking to him he spoke, very calmly, gently and actually believed what I'd been talking about and how I was feeling. I felt much much better for being able to speak to someone who would listen. The few other times I had contact with him he was exactly the same. He has time, compassion, he's a great listener and I thoroughly recommend him to anyone, be it friend or stranger. I don't think there is a better GP in Uckfield
