My husband was taken ill in the early hours and was brought to Epsom General Hospital A&E, where James Andren was the Doctor who examined him.
We were immediately put at ease by this Doctor, who introduced himself to us, explained clearly what tests he was going to run (and why). He had a sympathetic and reassuring manner and was competent and skilled throughout the examination. We had the utmost confidence in the treatment my husband received and the decision to admit him as an in-patient, though unwelcome, was explained clearly and was accepted by us as the only way to proceed.
A worrying and unpleasant experience was made easier by James Andren and his colleagues.
