I met this consultant clinical lead on three occasions. I found she did not choose to listen to me the patient. I was questioned about health past and present but my concerns were not heard. On one occasion I was extremely frightened by what she said. Disappointed upon seeing this the consultant walked away. On another occasion whilst feeling very poorly the consultant came, not to ask how I was feeling, rather to ask the favour that I would allow a group of medical students to take it in turn to examine me as exam practice. On the third occasion the consultant was rather subdued and more polite and engaged in asking my opinion. My treatment was delayed at first for a scary time to facilitate a junior doctor to complete the procedure under supervision. I was not asked in advance and too poorly and needing the procedure to decline. I think perhaps the teaching aspect of the hospital consultant has forgotten the fear and poorliness of the patients in favour of timing training for her students and her research
