Dr Ieuan Davies (consultant paediatric gastroenterologist) was brought in to look at our son who was admitted to Island Ward. In fairness, we asked for a paediatric gastroenterologist to look at our child as we were running out of other ideas and we were desperate to find something that helped him and hoped he could help as we were convinced our baby was having stomach/intestine/digestive/reflux problems. This was the worst mistake we made. He eventually came to see us, told us all about how good he was, how he writes papers for the profession, how he's one of a top few consultants in Wales at what he does etc etc. However, we then didn't see him for a week and had to ask a number of times to see him. I wish we never got him involved, all he brought was more pain to our baby as we were left to watch him suffer. His first and only attempt to help our child left our boy in total discomfort, pain and achieved nothing. His initial promises were just talk, and saying the right thing. Dr Ieuan Davies added nothing positive to our whole awful situation.
