This Dr is an anesthsetist and deals with patients in pain clinic. He had zero in the way of empathy. And is extremely arrogant. I went for my first visit optimistic that I would be offered a pathway forward in pain management after failed spinal surgery. However this was not the case. I was told that any option only worked in around 30 percent of cases, and that is why he does not do private work. I was offered an epidural. However I had already had a nerve block which is considered a more targeted treatment. I asked why I should have the epidural and he said " well it spreads it round a bit more" I did not find that a convincing clinical reason so declined as I had already had an issue with a needle in the back irritating the nerve. He also prescribed some anticonvulsants in a very matter of fact way saying " some people find these help." I left feeling dishearten and depressed. My consultant who had referred me had suggested a number of options, and whenever I mentioned them he just shook his head not even explaining why he thought them not appropriate. My second appointment was worse. He viewed me as a middle aged menopausal woman and some of things he said were downright inappropriate. He told me NICE no longer allowed for the epidural , and had no more to offer in the way of treatment. Dogs get better care. His attitude is so dismissive
