I’ve just had a total hip replacement carried out at Goring hall hospital. My plan was a spinal block, but after talking to Dr Wakeling he assured me his technic of general anaesthetic was the best way forward. I awoke from the operation not feeling groggy or sick, if fact I woke as though I’d just had a deep sleep. All the drugs were administered via intravenous and no gas/ air, this is why I’m sure I felt so good.
If you are given the chance of having Mr Wakeling at your operation then please be very assured of a very competent and confident anaesthetic.
