I had an inguinal hernia repair at Goring Hall Hospital yesterday. Dr Wakeling was my anaesthetist. He was excellent. He came to see me pre-operatively and was generous with his time. He explained the general anaesthetic procedure and discussed my medical history and allergies as well as explaining the plan for post-operative analgesia. The procedure went well and I was virtually pain-free for 24 hours.
Dr Wakeling came to check my state of health in the Dare Care unit before I went home.
In summary, his care and that of his team were first class.
