Dr Murphy is the lead eating disorders specialist of the Nightingale EDU. She has extensive experience in working with all forms or eating disorders in all ages. I have been under her care on and off for many years and have found her to be the ultimate professional. She makes plenty of time for patients and really gets to know them well. She doesn’t just take a ‘cookie cutter’ approach to treatment and treats each patient as an individual. She has an excellent team supporting her as part of inpatient, day patient and outpatient treatment. Dr Murphy takes a holistic view of eating disorder treatment - food is obviously key to treatment but she also makes sure all other aspects of the underlying causes for the disorder are addressed and tackled. Dr Murphy makes time to support patients families and loved ones helping to ensure carers are enabled to support patients through treatment and beyond. I have been under the care of several consultant psychiatrists for anorexia and believe Dr Murphy is an absolute expert. I owe my life to her and her team and can not more strongly recommend her.
