I highly recommend Dr Heather Pyne. Her bedside manner is impeccable. I'll go into detail as I want to give a balanced review. I was a little apprehensive before the appointment as I'd already spoken with another doctor about my concerns regarding menopause and received a far from helpful response. I felt patronised. After that appointment I went through a period of feeling neurotic. And then decided to do my own thorough research from which I had a good idea of what treatment I wanted. Dr. Pyne, on the other hand, listened carefully to my concerns and took me seriously. She responded positively to my research efforts. But also took the time to explain what was myth and what was fact. She enthusiastically gave me advice which she had also double checked was up to date with her printed and online resources. Without needing to refer to resources, she shared with me the outcome of the historical and latest clinical trials of the treatment, which inspired confidence in myself of her knowledge of my condition. She went through other treatment options in detail. I felt thoroughly informed but also respected, understood and genuinely cared for. Once we'd chatted through everything we were both now sure of the diagnosis, and both fairly certain of what treatment option was right for me. But I had one final question. Was it possible my symptoms were down to another medical problem? She then offered me a test that would without a doubt confirm. Although she felt the test unnecessary she was happy to do it. I decided not to take it. We decided on my prescription. But there were a couple of details she wanted to check based on my personal heath status, but we'd run out of time for her to do this carefully. This would be possible for her to do when appointments had finished. We arranged that she would call me later that day with the decision on the prescription. She's already checked that I could return to the surgery quickly upon her call. When she called me a couple of hours later, she again went into detail about the prescription, about other options and I felt she really made sure that I was informed and ready to go with the treatment. She was waiting for me in reception when I went to get the prescription after her call. I feel she went above and beyond the treatment I've received from any other doctor. From my experience she made me feel that she's not only incredibly well informed, but also genuinely cares for her patients. She's happy and appears enthusiastic to spend time going through details in layman's terms. She gave me a very personal service which I greatly appreciate. I feel lucky that it was Dr.Pyne who I saw. I will always try to make surgery appointments with Dr. Pyne in the future.

Dr Pyne listened to my concerns, took.my injury seriously and when there were complications diagnosed this correctly. She then treated this with great care. Fantastic, knowledgeable and skilled doctor. Thank you.
