Dr Gavin Durrant

Dr Durrant is what I describe as a 'Hands on' Doctor (excuse the description!), what I mean is that he is what I call Proactive in his approach. He listens fully and has a modern, up to date approach. I feel he can interact well with patience and adapt accordingly. When my wife had Breast cancer he responded quickly and effectively which potentially saved her life. Our previous Doctor thought my wife was wearing the wrong shoes when she had a problem with her joint, when he retired, we were allocated Dr Durrant who sent her for tests to find out she had a bone growth pressing on a tendon. She was operated on and has had no problems since. He gets things moving going on his own judgement and experience. When ever we have had to use him he explains the medical problem so it can be understood. Sometimes I feel he is pressed for time, which is not his fault, all Doctors are under pressure for their time but he sorts out any problems we have needed him for so far, with a smile! E.May
