I needed an emergency contraceptive, I was initially told that I am able just to go to a chemist, I clearly already knew this and was made to feel very demoralised and felt as a 30 year old woman i was being judged. I also felt he went above and beyond the necessary information required with his questioning and was left embarrassed and feeling silly. This was the first experience of this gp, who was doing a locum shift in my surgery. I feel females wouod benefit better from another female on regards to these kind off issues and I do not feel he is suitable to dealing with patients with these requirements. Inhave had a 'morning after pill' perscribed before and was never made to feel how i felt on thia occasion
