Dr. Emma Shapiro has changed my life. In November 2022, I met Dr. Emma Shapiro at a time when I felt my anxiety worsening and felt getting more and more a stranger to myself. Those symptoms were affecting my private and professional life very badly. I was desperate to get better and find why I was like that. Dr. Emma Shapiro took the time to listen to me, to make me feel she was taking my symptoms seriously. Thanks to her listening skills, her empathy, her kind attention and her expertise, she asked me the right questions. She arrived to the conclusion that I might be suffering from perimenaupose and gave me the opportunity to have the support of a Mental Health Practitioner too. She proposed HRT, took the time to talk with me about it and sent me very helpful ressources on the subject - all of this helped me to make an educated decision to take HRT, and this with confidence. And what a drastic positive change HRT has had on me. I am a new person. No more anxiety, no more memory problems, lack of concentration, mood swing, brain fog or feeling of confusion. After only few weeks of HRT, I am now smiling and laughing again, using humour again, talking in a passionate way, confident in my skills again, feeling able to speak up for myself again, feeling in control and completely myself again. My anxiety has totally disappeared. Everyone around me can testify of this incredible change - my husband the first one. Dr Emma Shapiro has even had an impact beyond my personal health. Indeed, I shared my experience to a woman who was suffering from debilitating panic attacks. This woman spoke about perimenopause to her GP and now is taking HRT. She said she is living again. Personally, I want now to share my own experience to help other women, and this starting with women working within my own organisation. I will be always thankful to Dr. Shapiro.
