Dr Orchard is the Adult Congenital Cardiology consultant at the JR and she's great.
I've been seeing her for a few years, since she was appointed as consultant. She listens, is very knowledgeable and sees the patient as a key partner in managing their condition (very unlike the old-fashioned model of the doctor having the knowledge and the patient being a passive recipient of that). She understands that people want to get on with their life, and that heart stuff is just a part of that.
I know a number of other patients and everyone is full of praise for her. Her clinics always run late but no one minds: we know that we will get the time we need, when it's our turn.
