Dr Bakshi recently saw my 7 year old son and diagnosed him with a nut allergy. We received really excellent care and attention from him - despite his clinic already being over-booked he saw us again within a week of our first appointment and was so thorough, as well as being reassuring and very kind with my son, who was very nervous. I think he's doing a really great job in quite difficult circumstances and I would completely recommend him.

This review is being composed collectively between myself and my son who is now 18 years . However he has been under the care of Doctor Bakshi intermittently for over two years. Despite now being an adult, Doctor Bakshi has kindly left my sons case open for another year as he has been on a very long journey visiting various consultants during this time period and understands that we are now closer to establishing exactly what is wrong. This just means generally he has left an open door policy for us to contact again if we are worried . This is such a lovely gesture and reassuring . My son has been under investigations for a rare genetic disorder called Marfans syndrome and writing this review , I hope it raises awareness . It is a complex syndrome which affects a great deal of the human skeletal , muscular and bones systems . Especially defects with the heart , eyes and spine . As a result of this and understanding the severity of what this could mean for my son, this doctor left no stone un-turned and referred him to all areas of expertise where my son could be monitored further. The care he has received with the NHS has been excellent, and the nurses/health care assistants who regularly took blood ensured they looked after him especially as he has a tendency to faint. Doctor Bakshi understood that as his mum , he could see the anxieties on my face and spoke to my son recently Friday 15/6/2018 as a young adult with respect and humanised our situation with humour and generated a relax atmosphere during a stressful time. There is a genuine understanding and a wealth of knowledge and a true master in his craft in relation to genetic disorders and paediatrics. I’d like to thank you Doctor Bakshi at the Queens Medical Centre Nottingham from the bottom of my heart and also the locum doctor in our village surgery who referred us to you in the first place. What a wonderful lady / doctor she is too.

We have had 2 consultations with Dr Bakshi and on both occasions we have been extremely satisfied with the care we received. On our first visit to him, he explained clearly and sensitively the seriousness of the allergies our child has and was able to give us sound, practical advice as well as clear facts whilst being reassuring and compasionate. He explained with clarity, all the tests that our child was to have and the medication we would have to administer. Across both of the appointments, he was caring and understanding as well as being professional. We feel very confident in the care we have received and the advice he has given. He has always made himself readily available, whether that is giving us time during consultations as well as providing us with direct email and telephone contact should we have any further questions or queries. He shows a genuine interest in our child as well as us as parents.

I am the mother of a 5 year old boy who has severe allergies, mild hayfever, mild Asthma, and eczema. Dr Bakshi takes a personal interest in our son. He is very professional, and I would highly recommend him.
