My mother sees Dr Kumararatne at Addenbrookes in immunology twice a year to discuss her treatment for bronchiectasis at the QEH in kings lynn. She has immunoglobulin infusions at the QEH every three weeks, arranged by his department.
Dr Kumararatne is very professional and compassionate towards my mother and genuinely cares about her health. He makes lots of suggestions on how to improve her treatment and answers all of our questions. He recently requested that we contact TIU at the QEH to ask for all of mums blood results are forwarded to him via email - which we have acted on.
He also introduced us to the ‘My Chart’ system of sharing medical information.
Although we have to travel 50 miles to Addenbrookes to appointments with Dr Kumararatne it is always worth the time travelling.
And I have to compliment his assistant Lynette who is just amazing at her job, always returning my calls and giving them information - especially in the early days of mums treatment.
