My 18 year old daughter suffered from anxiety and eventually plucked up the courage to go and see Dr Turpin about this and another intimate issue. When she stated she had a couple of things she wished to discuss, he actually shouted he would only deal with one issue.
She was so upset and as an 18 year old girl, she didn’t know how to react to his abrupt manner - hardly conducive to helping the patient! He also prescribed her a sedative which I certainly felt was totally inappropriate!
I also found him to be arrogant and abrupt on a number of occasions when I was also the patient.
Therefore NO I would not recommend this GP, especially not to young people who may need access to mental health help.
