I was devastated to hear of the closure of Dickens Place Drs. Surgery. As it housed a wonderful selection of GP's. My review is a little story involving Dr. Daniel Haroon. I saw him when he was at Writtle Surgery in Chelmsford. I had been unwell with tonsillitis and had a cough that would wake the dead. I saw one Doctor, who then invited Dr. Haroon in the room to give his opinion on what my ailment could possibly be. I was clammy, had rashes on my lower legs, swollen ankles, knees and elbows. I was in a lot of pain and couldn't walk properly. He looked at me and looked at my rash, checked my glands and said "I know what this is" I have encountered these symptoms before. With 2 hours I was in Broomfield Hospital, on a Steroid infusion pain killers and lord knows what else. I had an immune system problem and the virus had attacked my kidneys and joints. It was Vasculitis. Had Dr. Haroon not sent me to hospital when he did, my kidneys would have failed completely and I'd be waiting for a transplant. I am so grateful to him, words cannot express. He is a wonderful Dr. and I am concerned that there may never be another like him.
