After a telephone consultation, I was referred to Dr Azimzadeh by my own GP for an urgency / after hours appointment. He seemed indeed to be a kind personality. However, he dismissed my symptoms as a flu-like viral throat infection for which antibiotics don't work. It all would be fine in 5 days. I stressed I am a carer to an older person, but he only advised to be careful. Ten days later after the paracetamol and ibuprofen treatment he advised, I was still with high fever. I went to see a colleague of my GP. She determined the original infection was bacterial in nature and I'm now taking an antibiotics course. The person I'm caring for got it even worse and developed a lung infection. I hope other patients can avoid such a bad experience.
