My eighteen year old daughter was involved in a moped accident overseas. On returning home to the UK we were recommended to see Dr Colette Griffin as she specialises in traumatic brain injury. It was the most positive experience we'd had since her accident a month earlier. Dr Griffin took time to really listen to her and carefully explain that everything and nothing was normal with a brain injury. She put our minds at rest in a way no-one else had been able to. My daughter was subdued in the hours following her appointment as it sunk in that she was at the beginning of her recovery rather than the end. However, by the following morning she began to rally and never really looked back from that point. Just an hour of Dr Griffin’s time was the most important and helpful part of Libby's recovery and she starts University later this month nearly fully recovered.
