It is a few months since we saw Dr Pilkington, and it is just sinking in just what a horrible experience it was. She showed zero empathy and my daughter was left in tears. What made it worse is that after the appointment, she emailed saying she had made a mistake and had not considered an alternative diagnosis. She made no offer of refunding the huge fee we had paid her. We paid for a private appointment for 45 minutes - to be frank, she came 30 minutes late, was rude, gave no advice nor help, and was done in 10 minutes. Don't go to her.

I found this doctor seemed to have her mind on other matters than our appointment. Calm but not engaged. Reception at GOSH is chaotic. There are 2 waiting rooms. The one is just where you pay, the second waiting room is stuffy and dirty, and very disorganized. Far lower level of service than any other private appointment I have ever received. Really disliked having to try to deal through the app, impersonal, uncaring.
