I was "treated" by this psychiatrist in the past. He did not really listen to me, was very arrogant and just left me feeling like I'm nothing. He did not take the time to understand my problems. Spending most of the consultation on his laptop reading notes, I get the sense that he cannot relate to a patient on the same level. Something all previous psychiatrists I had met seemed to be much better at. He did not want to continue seeing me to monitor medication or anything, just passing it back to my GP. I wonder if he is just a victim of the way the services have become today. Over stretched and under resourced seems to be the problem. Or could it just be he's an uncaring doctor that needs some education on human compassion? Maybe if you meet Dr Mortimore you might find out.

I met this cold and distant psychiatrist after my previous psychiatrist retired. I would not recommend him to anyone. He doesn't follow up on major medication changes, did not follow the NICE guidance on medication for my condition, did not give any helpful advice to my GP following a medication concern, recommend a therapy service that could not meet my needs, refused to allow me access to the service again after a GP referral and does not take the time to get to know a patient. This is what happened in my case anyway. I had to fund to see a private psychiatrist because he refused to see me and left me wondering why I was not being treated like my previous doctors did. When I complained he didn't acknowledge my concerns or apologize. He seems to treat patients like objects and shows little human compassion.
