When I came into Queen’s A&E, I had very high blood pressure, dizziness and vomiting, I was also terrified. Dr Chandu is the first person I remember and he made me feel at ease immediately, he asked me many questions explaining why he was asking them and from his findings Dr Chandu talked me through what was going on, and what was going to happen, he did this in a very kind and honest manor. My blood pressure continued to be a problem during that evening, so I was kept in hospital and moved to an observation ward, Dr Chandu continued to check in on me through out the evening and into the early hours of the morning, I later found out that Dr Chandu should have gone home at 11pm, but had stayed in part to make sure my blood pressure had gone down. My symptoms had come out of nowhere and Dr Chandu methodically covered all possibilities to make sure nothing was missed, he also put in place further checks for the following day. Once I was discharged and home, Dr Chandu continued with his care by contacting me to see what my Diagnosis has been and what follow up care I was receiving. I have never had such dedicated care and I hope that Dr Chandu never loses the passion for medicine he so clearly has. Fantastic Many thanks Miss Rosemary Mellon
