I was diagnosed with stage 4 advanced & aggressive Prostate cancer in April 2016 at the rather advanced age of 77 years. Doctor Perna couldn’t promise because of my age to get me on the Stampede course of treatment. As an ex international athlete I was in good physical condition for my age. Doctor Perna got me on the course, a huge thank you to her. Chemotherapy & radiotherapy followed with a bout of Sepsis + Pulmonary Embolism (after the chemo). I am now passed the 5 year expectancy am a bit weaker than I would like to be needing to play golf using a buggy but I will be 82 in December! My thanks to doctors Perna & Laing + all staff at Saint Luke’s. I am now planning my trip to St Andrews for next years open golf championship.
