Dr Jobling is my named GP at Northenden Group Practice. In recent years I have had various health issues that are presently ongoing and being treated at my local NHS hospital. Dr Jobling has received numerous letters regarding my treatment but has never contacted me to discuss this. I have been prescribed numerous medications, some of which should be reviewed annually, this has not been the case. The practice now closes for lunch from 13:00 to 14:00, this information is not available on the practice web site. Patients living in the Stockport Area and who normally visit the Gatley Green Surgery cannot access the full range of facilities offered to Manchester patients who visit the Northenden Surgery. Appointments are never available online. Patients are asked to call in at 8 AM and this often results, after numerous calls, being told to call back the next day. This can go on day after day before an appointment is made available, this is very stressful and is not conducive to good health. Any formal complaints must be made in writing and a practice email address for this purpose isn’t given on the web site, I would suggest this is to deflect complaints. I have asked on many occasions to speak to the Practice Manager or receive a call back and each time I am told to write in. Over the last year I have encountered numerous administration errors in respect of my prescription. I have been a patient at this practice for 55 years but unfortunately over the last five years I have seen a steady decline in the service and care that this practice provides. In my opinion Dr Jobling appears to dedicate more time and effort to his private patients to the detriment of NHS patients.
