Firstly kept us waiting for nearly an hour, whilst people who came in after us (so clearly had a later appointment) got called. Now I know why he took so long….he takes ages to say something that could be said in 5 minutes. He really waffled on. Basically said there is nothing short term that can be done to help anxiety - and that it is a normal feeling. I explained what I had experienced was certainly not normal, and should not be accepted and said he clearly had not ever suffered from it if he had that opinion. He got annoyed at me for that. I’m sure he’s a nice enough guy, but probably not used to having his very limited opinions challenged. So we left after wasting nearly two hours of our time, to do our own research into getting help for the horrible anxiety and panic attacks. So I would suggest if you are looking for genuine support and someone who will listen and really take in what you are saying….go elsewhere.
