Dr Tomkins supported me a few years ago when he was a registrar at my local surgery when I was in a pickle about having a skin lesion removed from an awkward place, just under my eye. I had to have day surgery which I was panicking about and he talked to me and helped me get over my fear of being a hospital patient. He had a very positive attitude. He took on board the fact that I had M.E. at the time.
