I recently visited Dr Kuriakose as I had been experiencing some pain in my throat and jaw. After discussing my family history, I had an ECG in the surgery and was referred to Southend hospital immediately. I was admitted and found that I had an artery that had narrowed significantly and had a stent implanted.
I cannot thanks Dr Kuriakose enough for listening to me and being so vigilant and referring me to the fantastic cardiology unit at Southend hospital. I feel very fortunate that I saw him and that despite my appalling description of my problem, he was able to recognise this as a heart issue.
I cannot thank him enough as this story could have ended so differently.
