I saw Dr. Barbara McGowan at the Cleveland Clinic and it was a terrible experience as she always seems so busy she barely has time for her patients. I had to reschedule an in-person follow up consultation as I was too ill to attend. Was told by the Cleveland Clinic that her next availability would be over 2 months away. I offered to keep the original appointment but switch to a phone consultation with her (since I was too ill physically to get to the hospital but could still speak on the phone at least). Cleveland Clinic refused to do this. Also, if we rescheduled and switched to a phone appointment on a later date, it would still be over 2 months wait for Dr. McGowan. Two plus months later, I finally got to speak with her. The consultation lasted exactly 15 minutes and towards the end she seemed to be in a rush to wrap up the call. Got slapped with a £220 bill for those 15 minutes. In short, do not take her on as a doctor for your healthcare unless you are happy to wait for months to see her, and when you do see her it's for a very short amount of time.
