Although the NHS does not really encourage continuity of care, I do believe in it. Therefore, having found a doctor who I am comfortable with and trust, I make an effort to see Dr. Pelz consistently if I can. Dr. Pelz is attentive, listens to my concerns, and acts on them. The problems in the NHS are not with the individual doctors, but with the systems and how it is connected. Dr. Pelz will send a prescription to my pharmacy, but they are not always able to find it. Or he will send me for an x-ray, which I am told will be back with him in 3-4 days, but still isn't there even 4 weeks later. So, the problem is not the individual doctor or even the practice, but rather the connections between the elements making up the service as a whole
