We contacted Dr Oppenheim privately, when we were told the waiting list for CAMHS was nearly 2 years during covid. Our 15 year old was suffering severe anxiety and was unable to attend school. He had also had suicidal thoughts. After 4 face to face sessions she diagnosed that he had ASD and signposted us to a company that could provide an official diagnosis, which he has since had confirmed. She also prescribed medication to help with the anxiety. ASD was something we have considered in the past, but other medical professionals had dismissed this. We continue to have consultations via zoom every 3 months. Since we first saw Audrey in September 2022 the change in our son has been amazing. He is now ready and able to take his GCSE;s next week and hasn't missed any school, and has a very positive outlook. A direct, no nonsense professional, who has definitely helped our son. Would recommend.
