I am fortunate enough to have been Professor Emmanuel’s patient for over 20 years. In our long patient/doctor relationship, I have found him to be the most courteous, sensitive, cheerful and caring Consultant I have ever met.
I have a long history of being cared for by the NHS. I have MS as well as several other chronic progressive conditions so ‘have been around the block’ with Consultants for many a year.
Professor Emmanuel treats me like an equal, we discuss various options for my care together and he always takes my opinions fully on board. I am indebted to this gentleman - a world class specialist in his field and author of numerous ground breaking research papers - he always comes to the table without a hint of arrogance or hubris. A gentleman in every sense of the word. In my opinion, his people skills are on a par with his impressive professional expertise - exceptional - I feel uplifted after every appointment with him.
