I was very anxious about seeking an assessment for ADHD at my age (50's).
I worried Andy may think I was wasting his time (as other health professionals I have seen have). Andy reassured this was definitely not the case.
He took a detailed history of my life to date; particularly focusing on the impact ADHD has had on my relationships, career and daily functioning.
He was compassionate, patient and understanding.
Seeking help to gain greater understanding of myself and my life to date has, and continues to be, illuminating.
I would say to those who feel they have consistently struggled in life due to possible mental health issues to seek an assessment as soon as you are able.
It could be the positive starting point for the rest of your life.
