I have been privileged to have Allyson as part of a team of amazing doctors and nurses that overlooks my care for NF2 for the last 14 years. In that time or regular checks, appointments I feel that I've got to know the team well. Allyson slowly introduced the idea that I could have RSD (nothing to do with NF2) and she would support me, sowing the seed. She explained what it was, and I soon linked that it was connected to ADHD. I finally accepted that maybe it was time to look into this further, where she offered support and straight talking. Clear support along the way. I have had the assessments, pages and pages (which is not a favourite thing for people with ADHD). She set up a trail with levels of drugs with continued support. I am now on the right dose of the right drug. I no longer get RSD. I fully understand that low moments, what I described as anxiety is actually "hyperactivity" and can rationalise my thoughts and distract myself. Thanks to Allyson I feel fully confident on why I am who I am, understanding how my brain works. The diagnosis was the missing pieces of the puzzle that explained so many other things. I can't thank Allyson enough for helping me.
