Given that it had taken me many years and several GPs before I was referred for an ADHD assessment, I was very nervous that when I had my initial consultation that it would be with someone who had ten minutes, a thousand things to worry about more important than me, and made me feel like I was wasting their time. Dr Parry was as far from that as I could possibly have hoped for. She was friendly, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, made me feel listened to, seen, and very much cared for - without ever feeling like I was being coddled or treated like I was incapable of helping myself. Her assessment and the subsequent time we spent identifying the right course of treatment for me was extremely thorough, involving both me and my partner, and I felt at all times that I fully understand what we were doing and why. I very much looked forward to our consultations, as not only was she a highly competent physician, she was a pleasure to talk with - and both my partner and I were sad that we reached the point where we’d agreed my ongoing treatment and no longer needed to speak with her regularly. I would recommend Dr Parry and the service (as the administrative team was also exemplary and extremely helpful) without hesitation.
