My second experience of Dr Sandy Kidd was just as positive as my first one. In 2009 I had a total left hip replacement at St Anthony's by Mr Philip Mitchell. On that occasion I was greatly impressed by Dr Kidd's great attitude and friendly demeanour as Mr Mitchell's anaesthetist.
When Mr Mitchell advised me I needed the same procedure on my right hip I was very pleased to hear from him that Dr Kidd continues to be his close working partner. This procedure was carried out on the 8th January 2019 and once again I found Dr Kidd to be totally reassuring about the process I would go through and also the benefits for the patient of the anaesthetic he uses now. He walked with me to the theatre and totally relaxed me. Following the operation Dr Kidd came in to see me, and also early the following morning.
I have only had 2 operations in my life but I feel very fortunate to have received Dr Kidd's care and great professionalism.
