Mr Goon has been working on my finger after an accident which resulted in a partial amputation. Through his professionalism and skill, I’ve acquired this part of my finger back as well as the nail which I thought wouldn’t be possible for a short while. I feel grateful to have such an excellent doctor during a time of shock and trauma.

This doctor gave me an alternative option to a joint fusion. I was originally told by another doctor that there was no alternative to a fusion. I was fortunate to be seen by another consultant Mr P Goon, who was willing to give me this new operation of a joint replacement . I am a hairdresser, so I needed to keep as much movement in my finger. I now can fully bend my whole hand and I no longer suffer in pain. Without this operation I would still be in pain and would no longer be able to work. I am still in early recovery and I am seen regular by Mr Goon and the hand therapy department . I would recommend this procedure be use more in hospitals It’s given me back more movement and I can still work Thank you so much for helping me you’re an asset to all those fortunate ti be helped by you .

I highly recommend Mr Goon. Mr Goon assessed my thumb joints (CMC) and offered a number of treatments, surgery being his recommendation, but no pressure. I opted for joint replacement surgery. The surgery was tricky because I have soft bones (osteoporosis) but Mr Goon skilfully managed to complete the operation rather than resorting to a trapezectomy. The surgery has healed really well with almost no visible scarring. I am regaining range of movement and strength through hand therapy. Best of all I can do every day tasks without fear of excruciating pain. Mr Goon was really approachable throughout. He offered choices (some of which not all surgeons perform) with clearly explained benefits & risks, and he skilfully performed challenging surgery. I feel very lucky to have been under his care, and am thankful to him and all the team.

I cannot recommend Mr Goon and his team enough. Mr Good oversaw a thumb CMC joint replacement in my left hand in October 2023. The care it took not only of me but of Mr Coulson and the team that was carrying out the operation was fantastic. He took his time explaining how things and reassuring me. I am so impressed on how my new joint is doing: no pain, full mobility. Thank you so much

I saw Mr Goon for a Bennetts fracture surgery: he took his time to explain why it was important; the various options available; and which one he thought was going to be the best. Throughout the entire process I felt confident and reassured that I was in the best hands. It was amazing how precise the actual surgery was and I could tell Mr Goon took an enormous amount of pride and care in his work. The recovery guidance he gave has been excellent and much appreciated. Thank you to Mr Goon and his team! I cannot recommend him enough!
