Mr Dobson is beyond the most amazing consultant I've met.... He ensures that you fully understand what is going on throughout the process and that you understand in full.... I have been going to him for roughly 6 months, in which time I have had a arthrogram, x-rays all with very fast and thorough results. When you get the results, he goes through each one in detail and even draws you little diagrams on paper and provide simple analogies to help you understand more. Today, I went to see him for an appointment which resulted in having a double steroid injection in my right shoulder (two separate injections in two different angles) .. he was so incredibly reassuring and calming throughout the whole procedure and encouraging me as I was very anxious about it . He then said to sit outside for ten mins for the anaesthetic to kick in properly and so he can check on me after his next patient to which he came out to me after the next patient and checked me over . Finally, he proceeded to explain the next steps to myself and my father and made sure I was 100% fit to leave the hospital. I cannot fault him at all.. I can hand on heart say that I feel fully safe in his care and anyone who gets referred to him will be safe too! Mr Dobson, thank you x

Mr Dobson is such a wonderful person care considerate I have bee with him for nearly 20yrs he as kept my shoulders pain free as much as he can as I didn’t want a shoulder replacement when I was 40 but been to see him today 14/03/2024 and it looks like that’s what I have to have done now as got no other options. But what a wonderful man he is comes to see you after theatre and explains what as done a reassuring you too, he always told me to ring his secretary if I have problems to make appointments as I have a open appointment. I can not fault him or his understudies at all..

Mr Dobson os an incredible surgeon, he performed a shoulder surgery for me in 2019 and i’m sure he wont be offended if i say - it was lovely to have such an old school doctor looking after me. And he really looked after me. He is a fabulous surgeon and my shoulder is great! I cannot recommend highly enough! On another note , when my mum became ill in october of 2018, (whilst i was waiting for surgery) Mr Dobson went over and above his duties to see my mum at short notice (through her gp calling and requesting) as she was in so much pain he saw her in his fracture clinic the next day. She had just had an mri scan on her neck and blood tests which he managed to get reported on within 24 hours, incredible eh? He had her admitted to hospital same day for a biopsy and also pain control. sadly this turned out to be secondary spinal cancer. Because of Mr Dobsons actions we got to spend a lot of time with her and so did all the family, this would not have happened had he not gone way beyond expectations. And for that i couldn't possibly thank him enough. sadly she passed away a few weeks later but thanks have to go to this special doctor.

I have had numerous appointments and several procedures at Cannock hospital which is beyond amazing so convenient for myself who lives alone Mr Dobson himself is so caring considerate and takes his time to explain everything he’s doing you feel like a real person he’s always reassuring you not like some not named and not at cannock who treat you as in invisible patient Thank you so much mr Dobson one amazing consultant

Well I am still under Mr Dobson, what a amazing person he is even the team who works with him, operating staff nurses and a big thank you to his secretary too. I have been under Mr Dobson for over 10yrs, He never rushes his patients, always explains what is happening in simple terms, so you understand it all. Credit to NHS Thank you Mr Dobson.
