I would not recommend Mr Khan. The cataract operations improved my far vision - I can drive and watch television without glasses - but long distance still requires correction, so I have had to get new spectacles for that. I WAS told I would still require reading glasses but they are very short range indeed and need to be removed after reading a book or writing a letter. The procedures have therefore made no difference, I still need two pairs of spectacles. I had the ops done privately but had to fork out £400 levied by Mr Khan for fitting special lenses to cure my astigmatism (BUPA would not cover this). Also his anaesthetist's fee was more than the maximum allowed by BUPA so I had to pay the extra.

Mr Khan has just removed my second cataract- first one was in 2019-20- and I am so grateful for his wide knowledge of other underlying eye conditions and expertise in surgery. He is an excellent surgeon who, additionally, doesn't fuss!! If you want an expert opinion and practioner do ask him to help! It is great to see so much better again!! Very pleased Thankyou!

I really appreciate the wonderful help and care that Mr Khan has given me. He has a wonderful gift and seems to be able to put his patients at ease. He explains the treatments fully at each visit. He has the ability to treat all of his patients in the same very re-assuring way. He knows what empathy means and makes the time to practice this gift with each and every patient. I have been a patient of Mr Khan's for a number of years and I'm sure that I can say say with confidence, that I owe my continued good eyesight to Mr Khan I will continue to travel from Shrewsbury to Bedford, Moorfields as I know that I receive the best of care with Mr Khan Thank you Mr Khan

I have recently had cataract and lens replacement procedures carried out by Mr Khan in both eyes, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. In fact, I already have. I found him after extensive research, and am delighted that I did. As a top consultant at one of the best eye hospitals in the world his expertise and experience are givens, but beyond that his friendly and reassuring manner and patient answers to every question will put you completely at ease. I didn't have the slightest doubt about going ahead with the first procedure, and actively looked forward to the second.

I was very apprehensive about having my cataract done so put off having the operation. The result was the cataract was very dense and so more difficult to deal with. In spite of this Mr Khan dealt with me in a friendly and supportive manner and the operation went without a hitch. This was mainly due to his excellent skills as a surgeon and his ability to but me at my ease. In the event it was almost a ‘walk in the park’!
